Gibson TV was a fast paced, multi-year project spanning documentary and marketing. Having already established a long-running relationship with the brand, first as a guitar player, then as an audio engineer and event producer, I was contracted to create a run of product demo videos alongside Gibson's soon-to-be in-house media director Todd Harapiak.
What followed was several packed years of producing documentary and educational series for Gibson TV, while simultaneously producing product release and marketing content across the brand's offerings. What started with a handful of DSLRs quickly grew to a full-fledged film studio, with a satellite outfit in Nashville that applied our production approach and style.
It was a great honor to work with so much talent to bring this channel to life and develop the visual framework for the brand. I wore many hats during my time at Gibson, filling in roles as budget and time constrained. The rapid success of this channel was based on strong leadership from within the company and the dedicated work of our team of freelance film professionals.

Across Gibson's marketing and long-running series, I've operated camera for a handful of other directors, always bringing the same passion and energy to my work. I believe the best directors have a deep knowledge of the jobs of their crew, and I have spent considerable time working as a cam op to hone my craft behind the lens.
This album documentary and live performance was Gibson Films' first official release. I was embedded in the studio with Slash and his band through the final tracking sessions, shot one angle of each interview, and handled the close-up on Slash's hands during the live performance. I also brought in the concert lighting provider and designed the looks song to song.

In addition to directing, I also served as camera operator across all of Gibson's long-running docuseries, including The Scene, the photographer-focused Through The Lens, and the ongoing My First Gibson series.

Every Signature and Custom Shop model requires a dedicated announcement video. I worked on dozens of these videos, filming guitar beauty shots and artist interviews. Much of the same team produced this work while also making Gibson TV's flagship series.

The first video that kicked off Gibson TV was a teaser sizzle titled The Countdown Begins… Over 40 videos followed, featuring artist demos and introducing Mark Agnesi as the new face of the channel. This initial marketing push laid the foundation for what became Gibson TV. This section features some of those earliest videos, as well as videos from three different acoustic marketing campaigns.

The final entry in this portfolio is the only one where I didn't touch a camera or direct. I performed and recorded the original music. This video, announcing the new acoustic collection, is scored by a single performance on a beautiful Gibson Custom Shop J-200.
Long before Gibson TV, I was a Gibson-sponsored guitar player. It's been a tremendous honor to showcase the care and precision that is put into each Gibson, and to help tell the stories of the artists who play them. But perhaps the greatest joy of all was playing that guitar.
